Madona Nasim 

 

          Madona Nasim is a Doctor of Optometry intern and health care expert with years of academic and professional experience across several medical fields. Madona currently serves as the president of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences chapter of The American Optometric Student Association. Madona has both tutored and taught students of all ages and across several organizations for the greater part of the last decade. Most recently, she was selected by the MCPHS Doctor of Optometry program to serve as a tutor to her peers, focusing on Optics and Optometric Theory and Methods.
 
          Madona graduated with highest honors from the Rutgers University School of Environmental and Biological Sciences in New Brunswick, New Jersey. While studying, Madona served as a physical therapy assistant at Ignite Physical Therapy in Bayonne, New Jersey, as well as an optometry technician at Vision Healers in Roselle Park, New Jersey. Madona’s focus shifted to becoming a student doctor at MCPHS when she moved to Worcester, Massachusetts. Madona’s dedication to her career comes from her love of helping others. She hopes to emerge as an optometrist with a specialty/focus in contact lens and anterior segment disease. In addition to her full-time studies, two tutoring positions, and various board seats within her extra-curricular activities, Madona still makes time to give back to her community by leading health-related events and drives at her home church and assisting at Kraken Media, a family-owned tech startup dedicated to anti-piracy and content monetization solutions. Madona lives by the mantra “Treat others the way you want to be treated.”
